Chanceux

This is the first piece I designed at school where I was free to make whatever I wanted. Inspired by organic colors, ethereal beauty, and textural patterns, I created this set 'chanceux' which translates from French to the word lucky.

For this project, it was required that I placed eleven darts within the look's pattern (this being combined between the top and skirt). If you look closely you will find them all, some existing in the sleeves and one in what I called a 'hip flexor'. I combined a striped woven fabric with a sheer white organdy which I hand-pleated.
